Known as ‘The Dumpling’, Duncryne Hill Walk is a relatively easy walk which leads to some truly impressive views to the north of Loch Lomond towards the mountains.

Connic Hill is another popular walk in the area but is best suited to more avid walkers as the climb is a little more demanding. Those who attempt the climb will be rewarded with amazing, elevated views over the Loch and its islands. You can even treat yourself to some much needed refreshments at the Oak Tree Inn which serves hearty pub favourites as well as delicious ice creams.

Just a short distance from your holiday accommodation is Ben Lomond which gives you the opportunity to ‘bag a Munro’, a popular Scottish pastime where walkers challenge themselves to climb as many of the peaks as they can.  There are also many cycling routes for families and expert riders to explore the Trossachs, from easy, flat tracks to mountain crossing routes.

For those of you who would rather take to the water and experience the magic of the Lochs, there are a wide range of water activities on offer. Just a short drive south of the lodges, Loch Lomond Leisure boasts a wealth of activities led by experts. Try your hand at kayaking or stand up paddle boarding or enjoy a selection of boat tours around the loch where you can take in the sights whilst treating yourself to a delicious meal or a glass of your favourite tipple.

There are also plenty of refreshments in store from the Jurassic Grill and Ice Bar to Café Zest which offers you beautiful views alongside your lunch. 

When your busy day draws to a close and you’re ready to feast on a hearty evening meal there are lots of eateries in and around Loch Lomond, with several just a short drive from the lodges, or even a scenic walk if you're in the mood. The Clachan Inn in Drymen is less than 5 minutes away and offers a warm welcome to all its visitors. As one of the oldest (if not THE oldest) licensed pub in Scotland with a history of Scottish heroes, it promises a truly cosy ambience and a delicious menu. 

The But & Ben is an even shorter distance away , you can enjoy a walk there in 20 minutes if the weather permits. This family run café in the village of Croftamie, serves a tasty range of homemade food from breakfast pancakes to fish and chips. 

The Old Mill Killearn is a beautiful old pub which you can get to in less than 10 minutes. With a passion for providing local, seasonal and sustainably sourced food, they offer a menu of modern classics in a warm and friendly environment.
