Named after the small plump bird, that resembles a woodpecker; Nuthatch is a charming, single-storey cottage nestled within 20 acres of tranquil private woodland in the beautiful Cornish countryside near Bodmin. This converted 17th-century barn provides an idyllic backdrop for experiencing Cornwall's finest, from rural landscapes to coastal beauty spots. Situated on the outskirts of Cardinham Woods, deer, hawks, and pheasants will be your neighbours at this charming one-bedroom property, perfect for a romantic retreat.

Just a ten-minute journey to the heart of Bodmin, one of Cornwall's most historic and intriguing towns, a host of local attractions sit on the doorstep. These include Bodmin Jail, the Bodmin & Wenford Railway, a variety of delightful dining spots, and independent stores. Bodmin's prime central location also makes it an ideal base for venturing into the wider Cornish regions.

As you amble up the cobbled steps, you are welcomed into a cosy living space that radiates charm and comfort. The wooden-beamed ceilings and the wood-burning fireplace enhance the room's character, creating an inviting atmosphere to be enjoyed throughout the year. Soft, plush armchairs sit opposite a Smart TV so you can snuggle up a watch a movie or simply put your feet up at the end of a busy day.

Whilst the Nuthatch bird is renowned for jamming large nuts and acorns into tree bark, a compact but well-apportioned kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you may need for your stay! This includes an oven, hob, dishwasher, kettle, microwave and a coffee machine along with a full set of glassware, cookware and tableware for evenings spent preparing a romantic meal which can be enjoyed on the rustic, natural wood breakfast bar.

On warmer evening you can choose to dine al fresco on the private patio space which overlooks the green valleys. This beautiful stone patio features bistro seating, perfect for two to enjoy a glass of bubbles while the sun sets behind the hills around you. There is also a BBQ provided to cook up a storm with all those tasty treats you have collected during the day’s adventures.

A spacious master bedroom continues the whimsical charm with exposed Cornish stone walls and vaulted ceilings. The king-size bed, complete with soft bedding promises a good night’s sleep and there is also plenty of storage for your belongings.

The bedroom is served by a well-sized bathroom with a bath and over bath power shower. You are provided with fresh towels along with complimentary toiletries from Made for Life Organics for the duration of your stay, including shampoo, hand soap and body wash.
