Cobble Cottage

Surrounded by peaceful ancient woodland with views of green valleys and rolling hills, Cobble Cottage offers the perfect Cornish countryside escape with all the local sights and, of course, the stunning coastline all within a short driving distance. Cobble is a single-story, converted 17th-century barn that has been transformed into an idyllic holiday haven. Nestled within twenty acres of private land, this rural retreat can accommodate up to four guests, making it perfect for couples or small families.

Just a ten-minute journey to the heart of Bodmin, one of Cornwall's most historic and intriguing towns, a host of local attractions sit on the doorstep. These include Bodmin Jail, the Bodmin & Wenford Railway, a variety of delightful dining spots, and independent stores. Bodmin's prime central location also makes it an ideal base for venturing into the wider Cornish regions.

Make your way up the cobbled steps and as you enter the property you are greeted by an inviting open-plan living space which is packed full of charm and character. With vaulted ceilings, wooden beams, exposed Cornish stone walls and a feature wood burning stove- perfect for the winter months, meaning you may never want to leave this cosy room. Comfortable, inviting sofas are arranged facing a Smart TV, creating an ideal setting to decompress and enjoy a peaceful evening by the fireplace indoors.

The kitchen and dining area, situated adjacent to the living space, comes fully equipped with all the essentials needed for your stay. This includes an oven, stove, dishwasher, kettle, microwave, and coffee machine, along with a comprehensive set of glassware, cookware, and tableware. On warmer evenings you can choose to dine al fresco on the private patio space which overlooks the green countryside. This stone patio features outdoor seating, so you can cook up a storm on the BBQ as the sun sets behind the hills around you. 

As evening falls, you can retreat to the beautiful master bedroom, oozing with original cottage features that make these properties feel spacious and appealing. Sink into a sumptuous king size bed and enjoy the kind of relaxation that only the real peace and quiet of the countryside can bring.  In addition, you can also find a double sofa bed in the living space which is ideal for those travelling with younger children. 

The bedroom is served by a well-sized bathroom with a bath and over bath power shower. You are provided with fresh towels along with complimentary toiletries from Made for Life Organics for the duration of your stay, including shampoo, hand soap and body wash. 

Things to know about the property…

• There is a communal games room for those guests who fancy an afternoon of friendly competition in a game of table tennis or darts or select from a variety of available games.
• There is a shared washing machine and tumble dryer available for use in the external utility room.
• Smoking and vaping are not permitted on site.
• There is a shared freezer available in the games room for all guests to use. 
• The cottage has designated parking and there is also secure bike and equipment storage.
• There is EV charging available for those travelling with an electric vehicle. 
• Cobble is a pet-friendly cottage, so please feel free to bring along your furry friend. A pet fee of £50 is applicable.
• Towels and linens are provided during your stay.
