Huntington is a peaceful village just 15 minutes from the city which allows you enjoy the best of both worlds. With excellent connections by road and easy access to the A64 for both Malton and Leeds you can enjoy all the surrounding areas and still enjoy on the famous sights and attractions of the vibrant city.

Said to be the inspiration for Harry Potter's, Diagon Alley, The Shambles is one of the oldest streets in York and is packed to the rafters with treats and trinkets from local shops that harken back to medieval times. When the magic of Harry Potter wears off take the kids to the Jorvik Viking Centre for a unique historical experience.

Less than a 10-minute drive away from the properties, Piglets Adventure Farm is fantastic for littles ones to enjoy indoor and outdoor play as well as seasonal activities through the year. Not to mention the opportunity meet lots of farmyard animals and even feed them if you’re lucky. 

It goes without saying that the spectacular York Minster is also not to be missed and the medieval fortress, Cliffords Tower is just a stone's throw away, which offers unrivalled views of the city.

When you need to rest your weary legs, that's the perfect excuse to stop at Betty's Tea Room for a slice of cake. Maybe pop in for a spot of food at one of the city's Michelin star restaurants, such as Roots or The Rattle Owl, if you're feeling indulgent. 

Why not end the day with a nightcap at one of the city's bustling bars, such as the Evil Eye, known for its world class stock of the finest gins. Alternatively, you can unwind with an evening of culture at The Grand Opera House or the York Theatre Royal.
