A short walk from the Marina, is the World's "Largest Ice-cream shop", the Cheshire Ice cream Farm-a leading visitor attraction that promises to leave ice cream aficionados very content!
When you can't face anymore ice cream head further afield and you will find many great days out right on your doorstep. Feed the penguins at Chester Zoo or meander through the elegant Gardens of Cholmondeley Castle, to running wild amongst the treetops at BeWilderwood; this corner of Cheshire has something for everyone.
Wander the charming streets, and besides a vast array of independent shops, artisan cafes, restaurants and bars- you will discover an ancient Roman amphitheatre, once the stage for many a gladiator fight!
Or for something more serene, retreat to the beautiful, landscaped Roman gardens, home to a miniature railway and adventure playground that will delight the mini explorer! Live theatre, open air cinema and concerts are also hosted during the summer months in the park.
From there head down to the River Dee where you can enjoy a leisurely cruise on the Lady Diana or if you are feeling fit, hire a rowing boat and reflect on the varied and attractive architecture that can be found on the riverbanks.
