The Tiny House

Sitting on the outskirts of the breathtaking Dartmoor National Park, this one bedroom, Tiny House is a unique and unforgettable way to experience the beautiful Devonshire countryside.

Perfectly situated, the property has easy access to the local beaches, including Teignmouth and Ness Cove where you can enjoy a stroll in the sunshine, hire a boat or sample one of the many beachfront eateries and watch the tide roll in and out. Popular attractions such as Paignton and Exmoor Zoos and Haldon Forest are just a short drive away.

Surrounded by 24 acres of lush, serene countryside the Tiny House is magical, bijou bolthole in a quiet corner of Devon. 

Upon entering the two-storey property you are immediately greeted by an open-plan living, kitchen and dining space which has been cleverly designed to create the perfect snug for a couple to escape to for a romantic getaway. The accommodation is fitted with an air-conditioning system, which provides both cool air during the summer months, and heating during the colder seasons, ensuring maximum comfort in this delightful den all year round. 

The contemporary living space boasts a comfy, plush sofa and a Freeview TV,  creating the perfect spot to snuggle up in and enjoy a movie night or catch up on your favourite TV shows. Even better than that, you can curl on the sofa with a cuppa and take in the stunning countryside view from the large cathedral window which creates an incredible focal point to this special property. 

A compact, but sleek kitchen comes complete with a sink, ceramic hob, microwave, combi-oven, under counter fridge and a full set of crockery, pots, pans and tableware.  There is also a small bistro set which can be moved out onto the decking to enjoy al fresco dining or take in the singing birds as you enjoy your morning coffee. All guests also have use of a shared external laundry room with a washer/dryer throughout their stay.

Beyond the kitchen space there is a small but contemporary bathroom which is well-proportioned to allow for a shower, toilet and sink. The design focuses on marble-effect panelling giving a very clean and fresh look.

A small, open staircase leads you to an upstairs mezzanine bedroom; a cosy hideaway for couples wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of every day life and truly relax into country life. There is a comfortable king-size bed with sumptuous, soft furnishings and a ottoman for convenient storage. Bed linen, towels and a hairdryer are included.

But before you retire for the evening you can indulge in a romantic evening under the stars on your own private deck which overlooks the surrounding meadows. Sit back and take in the views of the setting sun as the fire pit crackles next to you. 

There is onsite parking for two cars located close to the property but please note that this property is not suitable for those travelling with children or those with mobility issues. The property does permit one well-behaved dog for those wishing to bring their four-legged friend. The enclosed garden space is perfect for them to run around and stretch their legs. There are also many scenic dog walking routes right on the doorstep. 

Little Dunley Cottages strives to be as environmentally friendly as possible, and although slightly off-grid and away from our other properties, The Tiny House benefits from water from a borehole and has LED lighting throughout. All of the cleaning products are eco-friendly. This holiday property is accessed through the entrance to the adjacent East Dunley Cottages & Caravan Site.
