Shoeburn, named after the historic bubbling stream where women once cleansed their feet after crossing the wet moors barefoot, is set on the grand first floor of Lews Castle, accessible via a lift and a few steps. This spacious and light-filled apartment features an open-plan living, kitchen, and dining area, offering views of Stornoway harbour and the castle's main entrance. Decorated in a chic and modern palette, the fully equipped kitchen flows seamlessly into the stylish living space with a comfortable corner sofa. The adjacent bedroom provides a snug retreat with a large, inviting bed and a double wardrobe. Due to the castle's unique architecture, the bedroom windows overlook the castle roof. • Please note that unfortunately, we can only accept pets in Leverhulme Apartment. Shoeburn is not a pet-friendly apartment.
• Rooms and apartments are not serviced and amenities not replenished during your stay, unless specifically requested and paid for.
• Our properties at Lews Castle have bespoke check-in times, that reflect the unique nature of the site, and how it's operated. Lews Castle welcomes guests to check-in daily between 4pm -9pm. Any arrivals outside of these designated hours will incur a mandatory early or late -arrival fee of £50. This can be pre-booked at the time of making your reservation. If you anticipate an early or late arrival please inform our concierge team during the reservation process or during your pre-arrival call with our operations team.
