South Granary

South Granary is a charming, luxury retreat perfect for families or groups of up to six. Once a traditional farm barn, it has been thoughtfully transformed into a character-filled holiday cottage. With an upside-down layout the living room is set on the first floor to make the most of the westward views of the beautiful Northumbrian landscapes.

At the heart of the living area lies a traditional wood-burning stove set against an impressive stone fireplace, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you’re enjoying a movie on the Smart TV, curling up with a book from the extensive collection, or simply taking in the picturesque views of Beacon Hill Wood, this relaxing space promises ultimate comfort. 

The modern kitchen features shaker style units, sleek granite worktops and a cosy dining nook for intimate meals. It is fully equipped with everything you could need, including two fridges, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, oven, hob, kettle and toaster. There is also a washer/dryer for your convenience. 

A main family bathroom can also be found on the first floor, offering a fitted bathtub with a power shower overhead, as well as a bidet, WC and wash basin. 

On the ground floor, the hallway leads to comfortable sleeping accommodation which promises an amazing night’s sleep. The three bedrooms are configured as follows:

• Master Bedroom: King size bed with fabulous western views as well as a TV
• Bedroom 2: Twin beds
• Bedroom 3: Twin beds

The bedrooms are served by an additional ground floor bathroom which also offers a bathtub with overhead power shower, WC and basin. 

The ground floor leads to a south-facing courtyard, creating a tranquil outdoor retreat. Complete with a well-maintained lawn, tables, and chairs, it’s the perfect setting to bask in the peaceful charm of the countryside.

The property is equipped with a non-tethered EV charging unit, offering convenience for electric vehicle users. Guests are kindly reminded to bring along their own charging cables for use.
