The Fleece Hotel (4 minute drive)

Newly reopened and right in the heart of restaurants in Richmond, the Fleece serves a delicious menu amongst their cool and contemporary decor. Located next door to the iconic Georgian Theatre Royal, expect a tempting selection of breakfast dishes, sumptuous lunches and delicious dinners. Black Lion (4 minute drive)

Right in the heart of Richmond, the Black Lion is an excellent stop for those exploring the market town. With dining offered in either the cosy bar-side Snug or in the first-floor Bistro, the traditional menu covers modern takes on classics and light bites as well as more traditional fare. Wilfred Deli & Pantry (4 minute drive)

Offering simple, seasonal food which is freshly prepared in house each day along with a carefully sourced selection of artisan products and speciality ingredients for the home and store cupboard, the Deli is a must visit during your stay. George & Dragon (9 minute drive)

The perfect pitstop for 'reet proper pie' and a pint after a long and beautiful walk through the Dales. Accessible either by car or on foot (1 hour's leisurely ramble across some of this region's most beautiful scenery), the George & Dragon thoroughly deserves it's title as CAMRA's Yorkshire Pub Of The Year (3 years running!). Shoulder Of Mutton (15 minute drive)

Nestled into the picturesque village of Middleton Tyas, this family-owned, 400 year old village pub is the perfect accompaniment to your Yorkshire getaway. Wensleydale Heifer (25 minute drive)

Situated in one of the most beautiful areas of the country, between Leyburn and Hawes, the Wensleydale Heifer is well worth the 30 minute drive from our lodges in the Yorkshire Dales. An absolute must for Sunday lunch, the award-winning restaurant has a focus on spectacular seafood, but you’ll also find mouth-watering roasts and delicious deserts. Wensleydale Creamery Visitor Centre (50 minute drive)

Their interactive experience will take you on a journey through the art of cheese making which includes the opportunity to watch Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese being handcrafted by the team of master cheese-makers from the Viewing Gallery. There’s fun for the whole family with hands-on games and activities. Have fun driving the children’s milk tanker and learn all about how a cow makes milk. Watch clips of your favourite Wallace & Gromit films, with colouring kits, quizzes and puzzles for the children too. You can also have your photo taken with Wallace & Gromit Characters!
