Located only a 15 minute drive from the A1 Scotch Corner, our state of the art Sanctuary building boasts space, aesthetic appeal and flexibility. An array of technical facilities means it can be transformed and adapted to suit any team building event at a moment’s notice.
A one mile walk from the historic market town of Richmond and just one mile from the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, our award-winning residences boast iconic design, floor-to-ceiling windows, open lounges with dining and kitchen area, wood burning stoves and luxurious interiors. There are 18 three bedroom residences available, totalling 54 bedrooms on site.
Our dedicated on-site team can arrange delicious catering as well as bespoke itineraries and agendas, with team-building activities including scenic walks, paintballing, clay pigeon shooting and archery.

With rugged moors and soft voluptuous dales, Yorkshire serves up the helpings of the English countryside at its most iconic. Add in pretty stone hamlets, historic market towns, imposing castles, walking trails and cosy pubs, and you have a county that delivers a wealth of holiday pleasures.
Set within 55 acres of some of England’s finest countryside, our Yorkshire Dales location offers an idyllic and secluded spot located just a 15 minute drive from the A1 Scotch Corner, a one mile drive from the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park and a short one mile walk from the historic market town of Richmond.
If you can bear to pull yourself away from the luxury and comfort of our cosy lodges, there is much to see and do right on the doorstep. A scenic walk along the River Swale, past Richmond Castle, will take you straight into the heart of Richmond. Here you can start your day with a spot of coffee at The Station Café & Bar or indulge in a delicious pastry from The Angel’s Share – a finalist on ITV’s ‘Britain’s Best Bakery’.
If you’re looking for a gentle day, close to home, Richmond offers plenty to keep you occupied before you head back to your lodge.
Enrich your historical knowledge and head to the Green Howards Museum which houses artefacts from the Crimean War and archives from World War I and II. Immerse yourself a little further in Richmond’s fascinating past and visit the Georgian Theatre Royal – Britain’s oldest working theatre. Here you can catch a show and even try on the costumes and take a guided tour. There is also the legendary pantomime to entertain the little ones during the festive season.
As you meander through the town square there are several art galleries for you to dip in and out of, such as The Lucy Pittaway Gallery which proudly showcases the artist's famously vibrant sheep, amongst many other pieces which celebrate a joyful perspective of northern life and character. If you prefer your art a little more digital you can pop to The Station Cinema where you can watch all the new releases in an old, impressive Victorian setting.
Once you’ve well and truly tired yourself out, you can round off the day with a hearty meal or a glass of your favourite tipple in fantastic local eateries such as The Little Drummer Boy by Concina which serves delicious tapas and other Mediterranean flavours or enjoy some freshly cooked pizza from La Piazza.
When you’re ready to see more of the sights and venture a little further afield there is plenty to keep the kids entertained.
Little ones will love The Forbidden Corner in Leyburn where they can adventure through a labyrinth of tunnels and chambers in a garden at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Or they can get a little more hands on at Big Sheep Little Cow Farm where they can meet all the farm animals from chickens to alpacas.
Big kids looking to engage in something a little more thrill-seeking can visit Yorkshire’s favourite theme park,Lightwater Valley with over 40 rides and attractions. Or take on the challenge of some paint-ball, abseiling and zip wires at Adrenalin North Yorkshire where you’re sure to work up an appetite for a well-earned treat at the end of the day.
For those after something more mellow and serene, Richmond Golf Course offers a day of gentle activity over it’s picturesque, rolling greens, or if you would prefer to sit back and watch someone else do the work entirely, you can try your luck at Catterick Racecourse, a venue steeped in tradition which promises a fantastic day out.
If luck is on your side at the races, there is certainly opportunity for a congratulatory drink. Indulge in a delicious cocktail at Elixir in Richmond or relax with a simple pint at the George and Dragon in Hudswell, a community owned pub which offers a traditional warm, Yorkshire welcome.
