Clacton Pier is a traditionally vibrant spot and one of most iconic landmarks of the area. Offering a delightful mix of fun and entertainment for visitors of all ages, it boasts an amusements park, Seaquarium, arcade games and well as the chance to enjoy some delicious fish and chips or an ice cream as you stroll along the beach which is flanked by quaint and colourful beach huts.

A short drive from the property you can also find Frinton-on-Sea, known for its clean and safe sandy beaches, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a calming beach walk and a family-friendly day out. With a unique and unspoiled charm, the town offers quaint shops and eateries, surrounded by beautiful Edwardian and Victorian architecture lining its streets.

The beach at Walton-on-the-Naze is just 10 minutes from the property and it known for its expansive golden sands and rows of bright beach huts. Providing the perfect day out, you can sunbathe until your heart is content or engage in some exciting fossil hunting with the kids. The striking coastal headland boasts incredible views of the North Sea and the Naze itself is a haven for nature enthusiasts, with the Naze Tower, an 18th-century landmark, giving an excellent vantage point and a historical museum that delves into the area's maritime history.

The iconic Walton Pier, one of the longest in the UK, offers a variety of amusements and entertainment, from arcade games to fairground rides, keeping the littles ones (and big ones) entertained for hours on end.

If you’re looking for a more active day out there are an abundance of walking and biking trails in the area such as the Clacton Heritage Trail which is an easy and gentle walk along the water to Seawick, or the Jaywick to Walton-on-the Naze route which is fantastic for biking and promises amazing views along the way.

Hamford Water National Nature Reserve is 20-minute north of the property and is a fascinating coastal embayment where you can join a nature trail to discover the variety of migrating birds including Dark Bellied Geese and the Sedge Warbler. You might even come across a grey seal in the less disturbed areas of this marshland site.

The Holland Haven Country Park is a fantastic spot for birdwatching and exploring coastal trails. This nature reserve offers a serene setting for a stroll and quiet enjoyment of the diverse wildlife and plants.

If you enjoy something a little more competitive, the renowned Frinton Golf Club is just a short distance away. Founded in 1896, this historic club offers beautiful greens and one of the oldest surviving, purpose-built clubhouses in England. Visitors can enjoy a 27-hole round before indulging in a drink on the terrace on sunny days.
